Power LogOn works on a number of different smart card chips to relieve the concern of proprietary solutions offered by other companies. Access to the electronic data is protected by double, two-factor authentication (card & PIN authentication of the user, and card & encryption key authentication of the network). “Because the data itself is secured by multiple layers of strong encryption,” said Mr. Bonnett, “then even if someone steals the card or intercepts network data they cannot read the data.”
