Power LogOn Password Administrator
Smart Card Removes The Weakest Link In Your Network's Security
Within large companies, an IT administrator’s best security efforts for a corporation’s enterprise network can often be compromised unintentionally by employees. Employees’ network passwords are posted on notes, written on white boards, stored under their keyboard, kept in binders or saved in document files in their computers, often clearly labeled “passwords." Hackers and identity thieves know all these and other poor habits of computer users, and companies rarely can enforce how employees choose to remember their passwords. Therefore, the weakest link ― no matter the sophistication of a company’s computer security policies ― is how the individual employee manages all their passwords.
Power LogOn Administrator allows an IT administrators to assign and issue smartcards with variable rights, privileges and passwords to each employee given authorized network, data files and web accounts access. Employees do not have to create passwords; the administrator programs the cards with the Administrator software, which can generates random PIN/passwords without the user ever knowing the password itself. The password data on the smart card is Triple Data Encryption Standard (3DES), and Power LogOn Password Manager software stores this logon and password information on the smartcard and never on the computer.
Power LogOn Password Administrator uses the same security technology employed by Fortune 500 companies and the U.S. government, and provides businesses of all sizes with the affordable protection needed to safeguard sensitive company information. Power LogOn Password Administrator also helps businesses mitigate liability in the event of a security breach because of our security features not available with other password management solutions.
