AES-256

The Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) 256 is a specification for symmetric-key encryption of electronic data established by the U.S. National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) in 2001 with a key length of 256-bits.  It supersedes the Data Encryption Standard (DES) and Triple DES encryption.
