Ladera Ranch, California (Sept. 20, 2013) – Access Smart, LCC is offering their newest password management software called Power LogOn for government agencies, corporations, and business. The product was given a Federal Information Processing Standards (FIPS) 140-2 validation by laboratory InfoGard, a National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST)-approved laboratory.

The Power LogOn network access control solution works by allowing IT managers to centrally control their passwords. This system paves way for better password management as employees no longer need to type in or remember their passwords. Moreover, other problems like resetting a forgotten password are eliminated.

Before releasing any log-in information, the program initially checks an account’s URL, which keeps clone sites, phishing emails, and keyloggers at bay. A smartcard chip is used to store the passwords, which enables the user to access any account from any computer that is running the Power LogOn.

This takes out the risk of leaving any log-in information behind once the card is removed. The software can also be configured to comply with existing network authentication policies and requires no server modifications. Furthermore, because of its FIPS 140-2 validation, the software is suitable for government agencies that require their network security to have such validation.

Power LogOn also adds password management to government PIV and CAC credentials without the need for re-badging. It also provides multi-factor authentication and eight layers of assurance in the form of pins, cards, biometrics, usernames, AES-256 encryption keys, SHA-256 hashing, unique serial number, challenge/response, and user classification code.

Password management is one of the most important tools in a company. Not only will it ensure corporate security among employees, it will also protect valuable company data. When sensitive and confidential data is involved, a company or agency just cannot trust the any online password manager they can find.

Access Smart offers the Power LogOn at a low cost, and does not charge annual renewals and membership fees. They also provide recyclable licenses. The software is suitable for VNC terminal emulation, terminal services citrix, network servers VPN, intranet and extranet, and various Windows applications.

Aside from password management, the company also specializes in data security for buildings, devices, networks, and other points of vulnerability. For more detailed information on their products and services, visit www.Access-Smart.com.
